MWL Systems’ staff recently became stars of the small screen – quite literally! As Dell Certified Partners in Enterprise Architecture MWL Systems recently used its virtualisation, disaster recovery and storage capabilities to help a customer recover its core IT systems after a devastating fire.
As a result, Dell approached the company to record the details of the disaster recovery and ongoing business continuity solution in a case-study, providing a best-practice example to help other companies facing similar issues/crisis, or wanting to look towards installing business protection systems.

MWL Systems therefore worked with Dell to create a professional, three-way case study with the end-customer TRB, manufacturers of parts for the car industry, including Toyota and Scania. Dell were so impressed with the content of this that they decided to make it into a video to promote and showcase MWL System’s and TRB’s successful completion of the recovery project. It also highlighted how MWL Systems’ experts engage with Dell PartnerDirect to ensure that the IT infrastructures supporting the end-customer are robust, reliable and scalable.
TRB’s representatives on the film were Huw Thomas and Phil Riley. Commercial Manager Matt Kingsley-Williams and Business Systems Manager Peter Smith took part in the video from MWL Systems.
Matt commented: “Although we were a little nervous to start with, as none of us had done anything like this before, we soon relaxed into it and are now looking forward to seeing the finished video! We consider it quite an achievement, indeed a major accolade that Dell chose us to appear in their video.”
