July 5, 2011 - City of Manchester Stadium Event
MWL Systems again joined forces with their partners Dell and Microsoft for a ‘lunch and learn’ event held at the prestigious City of Manchester Stadium on 28 June.
The purpose of the event was to help companies make considerable cost savings on their IT requirements whilst improving business efficiency and security, and the company received excellent feedback from attendees.
The event was specially designed for IT professionals and decision makers to learn about the latest cost-saving technologies available within the industry. It enabled representatives of some of the biggest names in IT to explain their plans for the future, giving ample opportunity for attendees to share their views, ask questions and hence become involved in shaping the future roadmaps of big IT service providers.
Specifically, attendees learned first hand about how Dell EqualLogic iSCSI storage and the latest version of Microsoft's Hyper-V can help provide an automated IT platform, delivering dramatic cost savings, whilst contributing positively to every company’s environmental responsibilities.
Before the event, Managing Director of MWL Systems, Patrick Kingsley-Williams, said: “In an increasingly competitive business environment, simple, efficient and cost-effective IT services management has never been more critical in addressing the array of complex challenges facing organisations today.
"In particular, businesses need storage solutions that integrate the full complement of high-end management capabilities, including data protection that operates intelligently. They need a reliable system that expands transparently and provides consistent data availability - regardless of the server configuration, operating system, or application. All of this was explored at our event, to great effect.”
The hot topic of virtualised IT infrastructures was also featured on the event’s agenda, highlighting the cost savings, business protection and environmental benefits of introducing virtualisation within any organisation.
